The Position - Main Tasks & Functions of the Marketing Director / Development Manager?

Directly reporting to the Country Manager of TIMAC AGRO Deutschland, you are responsible for the national marketing & communication strategy.

In this position you take over the management of a team of agronomists, marketing and communication specialists. The actual Team leader will gradually hand over after an induction phase.

As the Marketing Director of TIMAC AGRO Deutschland, you will represent and incarnate TIMAC AGRO’s brand on the German Market. The main functions of this role can be summarized around three main pillars: Agronomy / Marketing & Sales support / Communication.

Agronomy :

  • You are the bridge between the Centre Mondial d’Innovation (CMI) of the Groupe Roullier, designing and creating new products and new technologies to serve farmers’ interest, and the field. It will be your responsibility to submit innovative ideas to the Country Manager of TIMAC AGRO Deutschland as well as to the R&D department based in France.
  • You are in charge of translating a scientific approach into concrete added value for farmers and Agribusiness shareholders.
  • You are responsible for managing campaigns, defining product ranges in line with the needs of the German market, and developing partnerships with Agribusiness players throughout the country.
  • Organizing field trials with public and private organizations will be part of the strategy you will have to implement, as will improving the various follow-ups our team carries out with farmers who use our solutions.
  • As the Marketing Director of the company, you will be responsible for the technical training of newcomers joining the company.

Marketing & Sales Support :

  • You design and implement the sales force support strategy.
  • You manage the trial results and share information with our sales team while developing ROI calculations and a trial library they can access.
  • You support the activity of TIMAC AGRO Deutschland by developing the performance of the systems for which you are responsible: market intelligence, definition of product ranges and sales pitches, direct marketing and sales tools, presentation and advertising materials for the sales team as well as for internal and external events, etc.

Communication:

  • You manage and implement the company's external and internal communication : helping to plan and organize trade fairs, field days and customer events, participating in the design of the advertising material catalogue and the ordering process (including negotiations with suppliers, monitoring deliveries), creating videos for internal and external use, writing and publishing online content on the company's website and social networks, press-related projects to raise the company's profile, etc.
  • With the support of the controlling team, you produce analyses of the performance of the strategies implemented and monitor your department's budget.
