Veterinary Services Specialist Companion Animals

As a key member, this veterinarian will play a crucial role in supporting the Benelux companion animal market and building relationships. Match Recruitment will assist Ceva in this search, the goal being that the recruited candidate enters Ceva as soon as possible.

Job Summary and Key Challenges
Veterinary service is an essential part of rolling out the Ceva CA strategy. The VSS is the first point of contact for veterinarians and other veterinary professionals. In this varied position, you will have technical and scientific responsibility for all aspects of their CA products. Via detecting the customers' needs, you are able to propose and follow up the Ceva value proposition in line with and to support the execution of Ceva’s commercial goals.

Consolidation of the market results in bigger clients, needing a different approach. Key Account Management becomes more important, and veterinary services can make the difference between Ceva and the competition. Training of the staff, internal (sales representatives), as well as external (veterinarians and vet nurses), and problem-solving by a peer, for example, influences the decision-making process in these clients. Also, the impact of Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) cannot be underestimated. With a solid network of KOLs, the VSS will contribute to the commercial goals of the CA Business Unit.

Your tasks

• Ensure product leadership: create a high internal and external level of confidence in the product. Implement, review, and update the plan for every customer during the monthly meeting with teams and managers.
• Customers' needs and relationship continuous improvement. Maintain a relationship with customers through regular visits, events, or calls.
• Customer guidance, advisory, and troubleshooting. Provide technical and scientific advice to customers and sales personnel.
• Training, education, and knowledge management. Attend continuous training, self-train, and develop training for customers and local teams.
• Collecting and reporting on customers’ feedback (data results, success stories, new issues…)
• Scientific expertise management and network. Maintain a network with Animal Health institutes, labs, universities, KOLs, and suppliers of equipment to stay abreast of new technologies.
• You will be a member of the Veterinary Services Team and directly reporting to the Sales Manager CA Benelux

• You have completed your studies in veterinary medicine and have already gained relevant experience in the CA industry.
• You work independently and act proactively.
• Analytical thinking is easy for you, and you can recognize complex relationships and prepare them in a way that is understandable to others.
• You are persuasive and have an open-minded personality.
• The ability to work in a team and strong communication skills are qualities that you naturally bring with you.
• You are familiar with the common Office programs, and you have a class B driver's license.
• Good knowledge of Dutch and English.
